Through mist and winding roads

If you are coming in from the U.S.

The welcome and registration will begin on October 25, 2017. Most international flights into India land in the early hours of the morning. Schedule your arrival so that you reach early morning of October 24, 2017. This will give you a day to deal with jet lag before the retreat begins.

The Panchgani Writers’ Retreat will arrange for a pick up at the Mumbai airport to bring you to the Retreat if you arrive in the morning. If you are unable to arrive/depart within the required time, participants will be responsible for coordinating their own transportation from the Mumbai airport to Panchgani at their own expense.

From within India

The welcome and registration will begin on October 25, 2017. Participants from within India should schedule their arrivals in the morning for October 24, 2017, at the Pune airport. The Panchgani Writers’ Retreat will also have a pick up at the Pune airport in the morning. If you are unable to arrive/depart within the required time, participants will be responsible for coordinating their own transportation from the Pune airport to Panchgani at their own expense

The way to Panchgani

Once you step out of the Chhatrapati Shivaji airport in Mumbai, Panchgani is about 250 km, a five-hour drive through contrasting landscapes. You begin your journey from the bustling city of Mumbai, the capital of the state of Maharashtra and considered the financial capital of India. You will pass through farmlands on the outskirts of Mumbai and through the hill town of Lonavala.

The city of Pune comes next, a rapidly growing industrial and educational hub, followed by some more farmland. Then you will reach the historic town of Wai, from where you start the climb to Panchgani.

If you have any further questions regarding travel, please mail Shabnam at pwr@panchganiwritersretreat.com
